STRATEGIES FOR EFFECTIVE GOAL-SETTING

This course will be useful to anyone who wants to find out more about the strategies and mental frameworks you can use to set your goals clearly and transform short-term bursts of motivation into sustainable, long-term goals.

Drawing upon my experience working with business professionals and creative entrepreneurs, combined with my training in coaching and psychology from the University of Oxford, I have created this short 4-classes program to give you strategies for effective goal-setting and explain what is behind a successful change. This is not a coaching setup - instead, you will learn transferable skills and mental models that will apply both to your current situation and will serve you after the course ends, regardless of how your goals change.

This course is for professionals looking for more focus at work, creatives trying to start or finish their projects, and anyone else who wants more structure in moving forward.

Course Focus :
Class 1. The Mechanics of Motivation: Different types of motivation. Dopamine loop (trap). Motivation wave.

Class 2. Goal-setting Strategies:

SMART goals. Pact framework. Backward mapping. Micro-goal setting.

Class 3. Action:

Implementation intentions (If-Then strategy). Environmental design. Cognitive reframing (All-or-Nothing mistake).

Class 4. Resilience:

Review cycle. Pivot vs Persevere. Compound effect.

* Note: This program focuses on skill-acquisitions. Rather than coaching you on one specific outcome, I will teach you strategies to manage your own growth, regardless of how your goals change.

** This is not an English course.
